Our courses

Our early years degrees include work placements, while our childhood studies courses offer specialist modules in areas such as youth offending, child psychology and educational psychology. The extended degrees with a foundation year to prepare you for degree-level study.

Communities and societies

Our active student-led societies offer a space for personal and academic growth, as well as new opportunities to make lasting friendships. Students can take part in activities throughout the year, both through the department and via the wider Students’ Union.

Research and partnerships

Our academics are researching a number of areas including the history of childhood, children’s health, multicultural toys, play and identity, youth and education.
