Drama degrees

Join us on a university-based course and develop your learning and skills in our 100-seat theatre. Alternatively, choose to study the dance and musical theatre course at our partner institution, Bird College.

Drama students at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Greenwich's Drama students returned to the city in August 2022, with a successful run of performances.

Our courses

Drama at Greenwich offers degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Students can pursue pathways such as acting, contemporary performance, community engaged performance, technical theatre and directing or writing for theatre. Our innovative four-year BA Drama and BA Drama & English Literature degrees enable students to spend their third year working full-time with one of our industry partners or studying abroad at our partner college in the USA.

Why Greenwich is great for drama degrees

There are unrivalled opportunities for our BA (Hons) Drama and BA (Hons) Drama & English Literature students - the opportunity to study in the USA for a year or undertake a placement in the UK, or the opportunity to perform, direct or produce a show at the world-famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Communities and societies

Our active student-led societies offer a space for personal and academic growth, as well as new opportunities to make lasting friendships. Students can take part in activities throughout the year, both through the department and via the wider Students’ Union.

Research and partnerships

Our world-leading academics and practitioners contribute to a vibrant and diverse research culture, which is supported by exceptional partnerships with industry. BA Drama and BA Drama & English Literature students can work with industry partners including Punchdrunk, Emergency Exit Arts & Tramshed.
