Drama

Study drama at Greenwich and you’ll have access to a large theatre and six studio spaces for teaching and rehearsals in which to hone your performance skills.

A director’s story

Drama student Ash Baker talks about directing her first play while at Greenwich and how it has prepared her for a career in the arts.

Our courses

We offer degrees in drama, as well as drama and English literature, with a range of modules allowing you to specialise in performance, playwriting, directing and the technical aspects of theatre-making. You’ll spend around half your time studying at Bathway Theatre, our specialist drama facility.

Communities and societies

Our active student-led societies offer a space for personal and academic growth, as well as new opportunities to make lasting friendships. Students can take part in activities throughout the year, both through the department and via the wider Students’ Union.

Research and partnerships

The Bathway Theatre Network is an online platform and physical space where performance companies and individuals can collaborate and learn from each other. Our drama teaching staff are involved in collaborative and independent research projects, connecting with artists and other academics.
