The MSc Management is for current and aspiring managers who want to develop their career and acquire knowledge, skills, and values required to solve real-world business problems.
The MSc Management develops the contemporary management skills which are needed to succeed as effective managers, with themes of digital engagement and analytics, and leadership through sustainable and ethical practices running throughout the programme.
The programme is built on the key management disciplines of employment practices, marketing, finance and operations. It also takes an analytical approach to data analysis to develop decision-making and problem-solving skills and culminating in a project which provides the opportunity to identify and investigate a real-world issue or problem in contemporary management.
The programme was developed with input from management practitioners and responds to the needs and expectations of employers by empowering students with the essential skills which are necessary to succeed in the world of work, and to take up higher management positions in a range of organisations.

How you will learn
Teaching
In a typical week, learning takes place through a combination of lectures and seminars. You'll be able to discuss and develop your understanding of topics covered in lectures in smaller group sessions. Contact hours may fall between 9am and 9pm, depending on your elective courses and tutorials.
Class sizes
Lectures are normally attended by larger groups, and seminars/tutorials by smaller groups. All students will have opportunities for one-to-one time with their academic tutor and project supervisor.
Independent learning
We encourage students to learn independently with support from their lecturers and supervisors to achieve goals and broaden knowledge through online learning and independent reading. Timetabled learning includes some time for learners to engage in independent learning on campus and to prepare their assessments in class.
Overall workload
Your overall workload consists of contact hours (lectures, seminars, etc), independent learning, and assessments.
Assessment
Learners will engage with various authentic formative and summative assessments: coursework, business reports, full company financial analysis, portfolio analysis, research/consultancy project, and in-class-timed assessment.Preparation for summative assessments is spread through the term and augmented by a range of preparatory exercises. The formative exercises do not contribute to the final assessment but are used to provide feedback and assist learners in preparing for summative assessments.
Feedback summary
University policy is to give feedback on assignments within 15 days.
Examination results will be available within 15 days.

University accommodation is available from £126.35 per person per week (bills included), depending on your location and preferences. If you require more space or facilities, these options are available at a slightly higher cost.

The Greenwich Bursary
This bursary is worth £700 for new undergraduate students with a low household income, entering Year 0 or 1 who meet the eligibility criteria.
EU Bursary
Following the UK's departure from the European Union, we are supporting new EU students by offering a substantial fee-reduction for studying.
Financial support
We want your time at university to be enjoyable, rewarding, and free of unnecessary stress, so planning your finances before you come to university can help to reduce financial concerns. We can offer advice on living costs and budgeting, as well as on awards, allowances and loans.

Accommodation
Greenwich
Living in halls of residence is a great way to make new friends and get into the social side of university life. With four great locations, all minutes away from the campus and the centre of historic Greenwich , you will be at the heart of one of the most beautiful university settings in the UK.
Rooms start at £146.30/wk and include Wi-Fi, utility bills, access to our on-campus gym and 24-hour security - and just a 10-minute train journey to central London. Students based at our Greenwich campus can also choose to live the Student Village at Avery Hill, which is only a short ride on our free shuttle bus.
Support and advice
Academic skills and study support
Access study skills support through your academic tutor, our subject librarians and our online academic skills centre.
Where appropriate, we provide support in academic English and mathematics. If you need support to use particular IT packages for a specific module, we provide training for this.
We also offer a range of activities to support you throughout your studies during GRE Fest, which includes several workshops that support our students and provide useful information.
All students will also be assigned an academic tutor as the first point of contact for any academic queries.
Support from the department
At Greenwich Business School, you can access comprehensive support through our dedicated teams. The GBS Student Support team handles course-related matters via the Digital Student Centre.
Our Faculty Student Advisors (FSAs) provide pastoral and welfare support to first-year students.
Interested in starting your own business? Our Generator Team helps students start and grow businesses, The Generator also runs the Enterprise Challenge and #GreHacks competition annually.
