International Scholarship Award

International students who hold an offer to study at the University of Greenwich could receive a tuition fee discount worth up to £2,500 in their first year.

Am I eligible?

To apply, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • You have been offered a place to begin a course in January 2026.
  • You will pay fees at the international rate.
  • You are not receiving any other scholarships from the University or another source.
  • You are domiciled in one of the following countries: India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria or Ghana.

Demand for our programmes changes over the course of the academic year. As such the International Recruitment team will withdraw programmes for award consideration at short notice.

If you are domiciled in the following regions: the Americas, MENA, East Asia, Central Asia, East Africa or Europe (excluding the European Union), you will be eligible for our Regional Scholarship Award.

EU nationals domiciled in the EU are not eligible for this award but may be eligible for our EU bursary.

University of Greenwich International College (UGIC) students who are progressing to the university component of their course will be considered.

Main conditions

  • You must have been offered a place on a full-time undergraduate or taught postgraduate course for the upcoming January 2026 intake.
  • You must be assessed as paying fees at the international rate.
  • Payment of this award is by way of a tuition fee reduction for the first year of study. Students must pay the full cost of tuition in subsequent academic years. The award cannot be used in lieu of your deposit payment.
  • The award cannot be applied retroactively and will be withdrawn if you have already commenced your studies.
  • Upon receiving confirmation the scholarship award, applicants should pay their tuition fee deposit (or accept their offer if a sponsored student) within 21 days . The University of Greenwich can not guarantee the scholarship past this point and may offer the award to other candidates applying in later application rounds.
  • Applicants must not be in receipt of any other award such as a bursary or scholarship. The International Scholarship Award is non-deferrable and cannot be transferred to a later intake, including but not limited to April 2026 or intake 2026/27.
  • Recipients of the award may be asked to participate in university promotional activities, such as interviews and attendance at university events.
  • You can only apply for this scholarship once.
  • The decision of the panel is final.
  • Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide detailed individual feedback.

Please note that the International Scholarship Award for September 2025 has now closed. Any applications received after the final panel will not be assessed.
