Public transport to Stockwell Street

Stockwell Street is a 3 minute walk from the Dreadnought building on the main campus. For information on travelling to the main campus including a map of the local area refer to the main campus page.

Public Transport

If you are travelling by train alight at Greenwich station (Travel Zone 2 or 3). Stockwell Street is a 4 minute walk along Greenwich High Road.

Cycling and walking to Stockwell Street

Cycling

There is a large gated bike parking facility to the rear of the Stockwell Street building with space for 132 bikes. This is accessed from the walkway adjacent to the railway line. You will need a Greenwich Gateway card to operate the gate. We still recommend that you invest in a good quality bike lock and we do not accept liability, for any loss, destruction, damage or theft of cycles. There are showers and lockers in the basement of the building in room G11. Locker keys can be obtained from Security subject to availability.

Walking

The Stockwell Street site is located close to the main campus a short walk (2 minutes) from the Dreadnought Building. It is also within easy walking distance of our Halls of residence at Devonport House (1 minute), the Cutty Sark Halls (2 minutes), Daniel Defoe Hall (5 minutes) and Rachel McMillan Hall in Deptford (14 minutes).

From M25 North

Exit at J27 for M11 towards London follow signs for A12 Blackwall Tunnel. After tunnel, exit the A102 onto the A206 and follow sign posts for Greenwich. Continue into the centre of Greenwich until the junction with a church opposite. Turn to the left to stay on the A206. Stockwell Street is next on left. There is public car park off Burney Street next right after Ibis Hotel.

From the M25 South

Exit at J2 for A2 towards London. Head for Blackwall Tunnel onto A102. Exit the A102 via the slip road for the A206 and follow directions above.

Parking

There is no parking at the building except for three bays provided for Blue Badge holders directly outside in Stockwell Street. There is a public car park close-by off Burney Street (see directions above). Greenwich Council provides information on parking in Burney Street and elsewhere in Greenwich.

There is no parking for motorbikes at Stockwell Street.
