There is a need from time to time by which web reference links of the form http://www.xxx....yyy are copied and sent or used. Sometimes, given the length of these references, they can cause a problem by being truncated (or shortened) and the full reference is not used and hence there is a broken link error.
Solution
- Copy (highlight, right click, select copy) the reference link (or URL) you wish to be sent to the clipboard.
- Go to http://tinyurl.com
- Paste (go to the correct place, right click, select paste) and submit.
- Copy the new URL onto the clipboard.
- Paste it into your email.
