Desktop Conferencing

Desktop (video) conferencing is a similar concept to traditional video conferencing, but using your PC / Laptop or even mobile device instead of dedicated hardware. A software solution and built in, or a cheap additional microphone and webcam, allow anyone to join or create a conference environment anywhere.

Microsoft's Skype for Business is an instant messaging and real time communications tool, providing computer and mobile device audio or video conferencing – including capabilities such as screen sharing and remote control.

  • Share files and hyperlinks quickly and easily without having to send an email

The service is available to all members of university staff
