Here's how to get your digital signage on University of Greenwich screens.
Please email your request to Internal Communications at least ten working days before you'd like your content to go live.
Make sure you use Request to Publish Digital Signage Content as your subject line. In the message, please include:
- Your name
- Your faculty or directorate
- The start and end dates for when you'd like your content displayed
- The screen locations where you'd like it to appear.
University news and events take priority, but we'll consider all other requests individually.
Submitting your content
You need to know the following to get your content onto our screens:
Formats
- Images will be displayed for up to 10 seconds at a time
- Videos can vary in length depending on location and purpose – we recommend keeping them under 30 seconds, but we review each submission individually
- Audio isn't supported, so make sure your content works without sound.
Updates and timing
- Digital signage is usually refreshed weekly or as needed
- University holidays may affect response times, so please plan ahead
- Unless otherwise arranged, your signage will be removed at midnight on your specified end date.
Standards
- Your submission must follow our digital signage guidelines and meet our quality standards
- If it fails to do this, we will return it with feedback so you can make changes and resubmit it – please allow enough time to do this
- Common reasons your content may be returned include copyright issues, poor image quality, and spelling and grammar errors
- Any disagreement about the suitability of content will be referred for arbitration to the Director of Communications and Recruitment and/or the Chief Operating Officer.
Exceptional circumstances
Access to the digital signage system may be required in circumstances not covered by these guidelines, such as a special event outside the university's normal operating hours. These requests will be reviewed on an individual basis. Please bear in mind that the content must still meet the university's quality standards.
IT and Library Services, under supervision, reserves the right to broadcast content to any and all screens under certain emergency circumstances.
