1) The Turing Scheme
The Turing Scheme is the UK government’s programme to provide funding for international opportunities in education and training across the world. You do not need to apply separately for the Turing Scheme. Turing Scheme fundings are not subject to application but will be available to all the students going on a summer school and calculated according to the specific programme.
If you qualify as Widening Participation (WP) student, you are eligible to higher cost of living rates and an additional travel grant.
If you meet one of the criteria below, you qualify as WP student. Please note that evidence will be required.

- Students receiving Universal Credit or income-related benefits because they are financially supporting themselves and someone who is dependent and living with them
- BAME student
- Care leaver or care-experienced student

2) The Global Greenwich Bursary
You need to apply and be eligible for the Global Greenwich Bursary. Students must fill out an additional Global Greenwich Bursary application form to be eligible for it.
Undergraduate home students meeting at least one of the criteria below are eligible to apply for the bursary:
- Student with an annual household income below £35,000
- Students receiving Universal Credit or income-related benefits because they are financially supporting themselves and someone who is dependent and living with them
- BAME student
- Care leaver or care-experienced student
- Student with caring responsibilities
- Estranged students
- Refugees and asylum seeker
- Disabled students

Management and Leadership at Audencia Business School (Nantes, France) – Open to students in the Business School only.
Students in the Business School can apply to spend 4-weeks in Nantes, France studying at our partner Audencia Business School. You will develop global management skills while experiencing a French lifestyle with students from all around the world.
Dates:
1st cohort: 18 May - 12 June 2026
2nd cohort: 15 June - 10 July 2026
What's included: Courses and Teaching, Insurance.
Accommodation, flights and meals are not included.
Cost: 100 EURO (approx. £86) admin fee. Successful candidates will pay the fee directly to Audencia

International BusiSubmit your applicationness, Relations and French at IDRAC Business School (Lyon, France) - Open to students in the Business School only.
Spend 4-weeks studying in Lyon at our partner IDRAC Business School to learn about French culture and language while enhancing your communication and management skills.
This opportunity is open to all undergraduate students.

University of La Rioja – Spanish Language and Culture Summer School
Location: Rioja, Spain

Duration: 4 week summer programme
Programme Overview:
The University of La Rioja, officially recognized as Campus of International Excellence by the Spanish Ministry of Education, offers within its academic program Spanish Language and Culture Courses. The environment characteristics and the size of the campus provide students an ideal atmosphere of cultural immersion for learning Spanish and getting in contact with other university students, both local and international.
The programme included 80 on-site class hours. Spanish Language and Culture classes, offered in several levels, according to the Common European Framework of Reference of Languages (CEFRL).
Cost: 1,298 €

Summer School at HM Munich University of Applied Sciences (Munich, Germany)
Open to Engineering students only
The summer school is a five-week program. International students participate in an intensive German Language and Culture course in the first week and continue these studies part-time throughout the program. Munich Summer School of Applied Sciences (MSSAS) offers in-depth study of engineering and business topics, integrating green issues with a focus on sustainability. Great importance is attached to the practical application using state-of-the-art technology and teaching methods in the courses.
Dates: July 6th 2026 (arrival Sunday, July 05th) - August 7th 2026

New York Film Academy – 4-Week Filmmaking Workshop (Florence Campus)
Location: Florence, Italy
Start dates: May 17 – June 13, 2026 June 28 – July 25, 2026 Duration: 1 semester (4 weeks)
Ideal for: Beginners or aspiring filmmakers looking to build a strong foundation in cinematic storytelling
Criteria: students enrolled in a film studies/ film & TV degree will be prioritised
Programme Fees: Tuition: $3,899 (approximately £2,961.29 GBP) Equipment & Technology Fee: $599 (approximately £455.91 GBP)
Accomodation and meals are NOT INCLUDED
Programme Details: An immersive introduction to the art and craft of filmmaking. Over four weeks, students learn to write, direct, shoot, and edit three short films using professional digital cameras, lighting kits, and editing software.
Each student directs their own projects and rotates through key crew roles—such as Director of Photography, Assistant Camera, and Gaffer—on peers’ films. The curriculum includes classes in directing, writing, editing, cinematography, and production.
Weekly screenings with instructor feedback culminate in a final showcase for family and friends. Many participants continue into advanced filmmaking programmes.
