Ghana to the World at The University of Ghana (Accra, Ghana)

Ghana to the World (GTW), is a three-in-one summer school. It is held in June for up to 4 weeks where participants can study and obtain credit, tour the vibrant and diverse regions in Ghana, and become catalysts for social impact and transformation through volunteering in disadvantaged communities. Participants also get to engage in fun cultural activities while experiencing the lush, green campus of the University of Ghana. Using the medium of interactive lectures that seek to immerse students in discussions on Africa-centered topics, GTW tells the story of Africa from the perspective of Ghana. It offers a unique opportunity for intellectual exploration and cultural enrichment, building a new network of friends, and expanding your understanding of the world.

Criminology & Psychology Volunteering Programme in South Africa: Vocational Impact 

Duration: 4 weeks
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Start Dates: Flexible – beginning the first week of each month (June, July, August ONLY)

COST: £1500; Deposit needed: £265  to secure place

This immersive volunteer programme offers students practical experience in criminology, psychology, and mental health through a placement with a leading child protection NGO. The programme is tailored to your academic interests and provides valuable insight into South Africa’s legal and mental health systems.

Criminology & Law Volunteer Programme in Ghana: Vocational Impact

Duration: 4 weeks
Location: Accra, Ghana

Volunteer Medical Placement Programme in Ghana: Vocational Impact

Duration: 4 weeks
Location: Senya Beraku, Ghana
Start Dates: Flexible – beginning the first week of each month (June, July and August ONLY)

Cost:  £1340;  Deposit needed: £265 to secure place

This hands-on volunteer programme is designed for students and professionals in medicine, nursing, midwifery, and public health. Based in a rural community, participants work alongside local healthcare professionals in clinics and through outreach initiatives, gaining valuable experience in low-resource settings.

Morocco Volunteer Programme with Travelteer

Duration: 4 weeks
Location: Atlas Mountains & surrounding regions, Morocco

Start Dates: June, July,  August 2026

Cost:

  • One-off Registration Fee: £175
  • Living Costs: £32 per day Total for 4 weeks: £896
  • Fundraising Requirement: Volunteers are expected to raise a minimum of £75

Travelteer’s Morocco programme combines volunteering, cultural immersion, and adventure in one unforgettable experience. Students contribute to impactful community development projects while exploring Morocco’s rich heritage and landscapes.
