1) The Turing Scheme
The Turing Scheme is the UK government’s programme to provide funding for international opportunities in education and training across the world. You do not need to apply separately for the Turing Scheme. Turing Scheme fundings are not subject to application but will be available to all the students going on a summer school and calculated according to the specific programme.
If you qualify as Widening Participation (WP) student, you are eligible to higher cost of living rates and an additional travel grant.
If you meet one of the criteria below, you qualify as WP student. Please note that evidence will be required.

International Summer School at Dongguk University (Seoul, South Korea)
Korean and International students will be able to earn credits during the summer vacation learning about Korean Media, Culture,
Business, Humanities and Social Sciences which are the study fields that Dongguk University is renowned for. Also, this program
will be enriched with a special study tour to learn historical & social backgrounds of Korea beyond the boundary of the classroom.

Waseda University Summer School, Japan
Founded in 1882 at the heart of Tokyo, WASEDA University is recognized as one of the most international universities in Japan. From 2014, Waseda started a four-week summer session at the undergraduate level.
We welcomed 180 highly motivated international students in 2024 and we plan to recruit 200 international students for the Summer Session 2025 and expand its period to six-week.

*Technical internships require at least one year of university
*Design internships require a portfolio
Programme Inclusions
*Guaranteed unpaid internship placement
*Career support: CV review, interview training, 1-on-1 counseling
*Orientation (pre- and post-arrival)
*On-site support and 24/7 emergency assistance
*Cultural activities: 2 field trips and 1 business seminar
*Accommodation: Private room in a shared house
*Transportation: Suica IC card for local travel
*Social events: Welcome and farewell gatherings
*Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation (on request)

1. Turing Funds: Eligible to all the confirmed participants
- Students that meet WP criteria will receive: tbc
- All other students (non-WP): tbc
2. Global Greenwich Bursary: subject to application
Successful Home students that meet WP criteria will receive: £500
