Financial Support

1) The Turing Scheme

The Turing Scheme is the UK government’s programme to provide funding for international opportunities in education and training across the world. You do not need to apply separately for the Turing Scheme. Turing Scheme fundings are not subject to application but will be available to all the students going on a summer school and calculated according to the specific programme.

If you qualify as Widening Participation (WP) student, you are eligible to higher cost of living rates and an additional travel grant.

If you meet one of the criteria below, you qualify as WP student. Please note that evidence will be required.

Widening  Participants (WP) criteria

• Student with an annual household income below £35,000
• Students receiving Universal Credit or income-related benefits because they are financially supporting themselves and someone who is dependent and living with them
• BAME student
• Care leaver or care-experienced student

2) The Global Greenwich Bursary

You need to apply and be eligible for the Global Greenwich Bursary. Students must fill out an additional Global Greenwich Bursary application form to be eligible for it.

Undergraduate home students meeting at least one of the criteria below are eligible to apply for the bursary:

• Student with an annual household income below £35,000
• Students receiving Universal Credit or income-related benefits because they are financially supporting themselves and someone who is dependent and living with them

International Summer School at Dongguk University (Seoul, South Korea)

Korean and International students will be able to earn credits during the summer vacation learning about Korean Media, Culture,
Business, Humanities and Social Sciences which are the study fields that Dongguk University is renowned for. Also, this program
will be enriched with a special study tour to learn historical & social backgrounds of Korea beyond the boundary of the classroom.

Korea University International Summer Campus (KU ISC)

Korea University International Summer Campus (KU ISC) is an academic summer program specially designed for international students who wish to explore their summer for both academic and cultural learning. KU ISC offers over 100 credit-bearing courses taught by world-class academics. KU ISC also provides a rich set of cultural and social activities to give participants a great chance to taste the unique culture of Korea. It's a perfect combination of learning and fun for your summer.

Volunteering Programme in India: Vocational Impact – Psychology & Mental Health

Duration: 4 weeks
Location: Jaipur, India
Start Dates: Flexible – beginning the first week of each month (June, July, August ONLY)

Cost: £1,340; Deposit needed to secure the place: £265

This immersive programme provides students with hands-on clinical experience in the mental health unit of a local hospital in Jaipur. Supervised by a qualified psychology doctor, participants gain practical exposure to India’s mental health framework while contributing to sustainable development initiatives.

Key Activities:

• Observing clinical care and therapeutic practices
• Assisting with child development sessions
• Participating in community outreach and mental health education

LSBF Asia Summer School Singapore and Malaysia

Since 2003, the London School of Business & Finance (LSBF) has empowered over 45,000 learners from 40+ countries. As part of the Global University System (GUS), LSBF has campuses in London, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur.

Dive into an interactive learning experience in two of Southeast Asia's key capital cities. This summer school programme offers valuable insights into business practices and culture in Asia. Through lectures, group sessions, projects, networking, experiential learning, and visits to various organisations, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding while building lasting social and academic connections. This programme will provide you with the context to understand how the ASEAN region is positioned in relation to global businesses.

Accommodation will be arranged by LSBF, with the budget based on two people sharing a double room in 3-star hotels or dormitory-style student hostels.

FPT Vietnam summer school

An exciting opportunity to discover FPT across the different campuses in Vietnam.

Dates: 24 May – 20 June 2026

Arrival in Hanoi and departure from Ho Chi Minh. The programme will run across multiple locations in Vietnam - Hanoi and Sa  Pa, Can Tho, Da Nang and Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City. There will be several domestic flights and long distance buses.

Cost: 2,056 GBP/student

The program fee covers:

Plan My Gap Year - Cambodia Volunteer Programme 

Plan My Gap Year offers affordable and impactful volunteer opportunities in Takeo Province, Cambodia, just south of Phnom Penh. Volunteers can choose between Childcare and English Teaching projects, aimed at supporting local children and communities.

Duration: 4 weeks

Start Dates: Flexible – first and third Monday of each month (June, July and August 2026 ONLY)

Cost: £179 registration fee + £330 (4 weeks programme fee)

Accommodation: Volunteer House with daily breakfast and dinner

Support: Includes airport pick-up, orientation, and 24/7 local assistance

• Fundraising Requirement: Volunteers are expected to raise a minimum of £75
