The Managed Desktop service has been developed for use by academic and administrative staff and students. It aims to provide users with access to a range of reliable and maintainable services.

The Managed Desktop enables access to University IT systems and resources by simply "logging on" to a computer using your university username and password. These desktops and laptops are managed and configured centrally using automated processes and are usually configured to allow users to keep settings and files as they move from machine to machine.
