Moodle is the university's online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It is an environment for supporting and mediating learning activity including storing course materials, such as documents and video, assignments, feedback, wikis, and even quizzes.

- Individual and group assessment creation
- A submissions area and notifications
- Self-marking
- Anonymous marking and feedback tools. These include a grade book for generating and calculating results, and 'my feedback' for recording comments.

- On-Line Forums
- On-Line Chat
- Personal messaging
