Sitting your exam

Information about sitting your exam.

Exam location

If you are sitting your exam on campus your exam timetable will give you the campus, building name and exam room. Your exam may not take place on the campus you study, so please familiarise yourself with the site, building name, room location and transportation in order to ensure you reach your exam room in time, and no later than 15 minutes before the exam starts. transport information and campus maps.

Things to bring with you

If you are sitting your exam on campus you must bring your student ID card with you on the day of your examination, failure to do so will prevent you from sitting the exam. Please also bring with you any equipment necessary to take the examination: pens, pencils, erasers, rulers etc as these will not be provided for you.

No personal items can be kept at the exam desk. You may take into the exam room unwrapped sweets together with a small clear bottle of water or soft drink.  All drinks are to be placed on the floor next to your desk. The Examination Guidance Instructions for Candidates provide further information on what you can and cannot take into the exam room.

Invigilators will not be responsible for looking after your belongings, please therefore do not bring any valuable items into the exam room.
