Plagiarism and exam offences
Plagiarism (the copying, without acknowledgement, of someone else's work) is a serious offence (see page 78).

Extenuating circumstances
If you are in a situation which is unexpected, significantly disruptive or beyond your control that you feel may affect your academic performance, you may have a valid claim for extenuating circumstances (see page 68).

Academic appeals
If you feel that you have grounds to appeal, read more about your rights, the appeals process and ho to complete the Academic Appeals Form (see page 91).

Making a complaint
If you feel you have a valid reason to complain about any aspect of the university, there are informal and formal procedures for complaint that you should follow.
