Compliance status
The software has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- Some decorative images lack alternative text. For example, the Edumundo logo at the bottom right corner of all pages, brand logos and profile pictures in the simulation exercise. This fails WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content. The alternative means of content provision are captions and text summary. A request for marking the images as decorative will be sent to Edumundo.
- The contrast ratio of some text based menu bars and control buttons is below 4.5:1. For example, the red on white text of the top menu, the white on blue text of the selection buttons, and the green on white text of the ranking scores have a contrast ratio of 3.99:1, 3.08:1 and 2.62:1 respectively. This fails WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum). A request for using contrastive colour scheme in the simulations will be sent to Edumundo.
- Some buttons in the simulation are image of text. For example, the buttons for choosing Sustainability Goals in the Strategy section of the Dashboard are presented as visual icons with image of text. This fails WCAG 1.4.5 Images of Text. A request for setting up text-based buttons will be sent to Edumundo.
- No keyboard control and focus for the vertical menu bar and some interactive controls in the simulation. For example, the sliders in the Targets section and the office floorplan in the Decisions section can only be operated by a pointer. This fails WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard. A request will be sent to Edumundo to add keyboard control and keyboard focus in those parts.
- Keyboard focus indicator is not available for some of the keyboard operable buttons. For example, keyboard control is detected by the inspection tool for the year selection buttons in the Income Statement page and the consumer type selection tab on the Market page. But these buttons lack keyboard focus. This fails WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible. A request will be sent to Edumundo to add keyboard focus indicators on those parts.
For actions that require changes by Edumundo, we will provide regular updates about our supplier’s roadmap for fixes.
If you find an issue that we have yet to identify, please contact us using one of the routes described in the ‘Feedback and contact information’ section of this statement.
