Chevening Scholarships

Chevening Scholarships enable outstanding emerging leaders from around the world to pursue a one-year master’s degree in 2020/2021. The award includes flights, accommodation and course fees.

Chevening Scholarships are available for international students with at least two years' work experience to study a one-year master's course on a full-time basis.

The scheme welcomes applications that demonstrate your capability to excel at master's level and your visions for your future (and perhaps your home country's future).

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship, you must:

  • Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
  • Return to your country of citizenship for at least two years after the course has ended.
  • Have fulfilled the entry requirements of a UK master's course by the time you submit your application. This is typically equivalent to an undergraduate degree with upper second-class (2:1) honours.
  • Have at least two years' work experience.
  • Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer for one of these by 16 July 2020.
  • Meet the Chevening English language requirement by 16 July 2020.

There are some further conditions that may render you ineligible for an award.
