The Dean’s Bursary is designed to provide targeted financial support for students who face barriers to continuing their studies, who did not achieve an upper-class honours in their undergraduate programme and for whom a postgraduate qualification can make a significant difference in accessing graduate-level employment. The award is a £3000 cash bursary paid into 3 termly instalments (pro rata part time).
Purpose of the Bursary
The Dean’s Bursary aims to:
· Support students from underrepresented ethnic backgrounds
· Help address financial barriers to postgraduate study
· Improve employability and access to graduate-level careers
· Promote academic progression among students who may not otherwise consider further study
Am I Eligible?
Priority Student Groups
The bursary is aimed at specific student groups who meet the following criteria, in priority order:
- Students from a British Pakistani and British Bangladeshi background, securing a 2.2-degree outcome in BA Business Management or BA Accounting & Finance the year before progressing to postgraduate study at Greenwich Business School.
- Students from other BAME groups, securing a 2.2-degree outcome in BA Business Management or BA Accounting & Finance the year before progressing to postgraduate study at Greenwich Business School.
- Students from BAME backgrounds securing a 2.2-degree outcome in other Greenwich Business School undergraduate programmes the year before progressing to postgraduate study at Greenwich Business School.
- You are assessed to pay fees at the home rate and will be studying at Greenwich, Avery Hill or Medway Campus (except Medway School of Pharmacy) or one of our Partner Colleges, where your tuition fee is paid directly to Greenwich University.
Eligible Postgraduate Programmes
The Dean’s Bursary is available for students progressing to one of the following postgraduate programmes:
· MSc Accounting and Finance
· MSc Finance and Investment
· MSc Financial Management and Risk
· MSc Fintech and Finance
· MA Logistics and Supply Chain Management
· MBA Marketing Management
· MA Marketing Management (EFMD Accredited)
· MSc Strategic Human Resource Management
· MSc Digital Marketing Management
