We are offering the Early Applicant Scholarship as a tuition fee discount to support new international students who apply early, hold an offer and meet their deposit deadlines. This award recognises students making earlier, organised plans in preparation for their studies.
Am I eligible?
- You must apply for your programme of study by 18:00 (UK time) on 27th March 2026 and must accept your offer and pay your deposit by 1st May 2026 or within 28 days of receiving your offer (if this is a later date).
- We appreciate some offers may take longer to be provided to applicants (for example if applying for a programme requiring an interview), so as long as you have applied by 27th March 2026, we will give you the full 28 day period (as stated in your offer letter) once you have received your offer to make a decision.
- You must also be:
- a self-funded international fee-payer,
- be joining the University for the first time on one of our UK campuses in September 2026,
- and be starting in the first year of postgraduate programme of study.
- Deposit payment must be made via the Flywire platform only. Students paying outside of Flywire are not eligible for the award.
How to apply
No application is required - eligible students will be awarded the scholarship automatically. As you long as you have met the above criteria the award is automatically provided.
Terms & Conditions
- Students must apply for your programme of study by 18:00 (UK time) on 27th March 2026, and must accept your offer and pay your deposit by 1st May 2026 or within 28 days of receiving your offer (if this is a later date).
- A full application is required by the application deadline, including a copy of all relevant supporting documents, such as passport and provisional transcripts. If the University of Greenwich is required to request further information from an applicant in order to assess the application, then this will not be considered a full application.
- Deposit payments need to be made through the official University of Greenwich Flywire platform only and must have cleared into the University’s bank account by the relevant deposit payment deadline. Deposit payments made outside of this platform are not eligible.
- Students need to pay full £3,000 deposit amount to be eligible.
- Sponsored students are not eligible for this award. However, can apply for scholarships via the International Scholarship Award.
- EU students are not eligible for this award, however, are eligible for the EU bursary.
- This award is only available for the September 2026 intake. Students paying deposits for September 2026, then deferring to later intakes will need to reapply for other scholarship awards.
- The scholarship is applied as a tuition fee discount only.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship award or bursary from the University of Greenwich.
- Scholarship is applied after registration (not deducted from the deposit).
- This award is for new full time, postgraduate taught students at the University of Greenwich. Students on partner courses, including UGIC are not eligible. Students studying MRes, PhD or MPhil courses are not eligible.
- Recipients of other scholarships or external funding awards need to check the terms and conditions of those awards to understand if they are eligible for support through this award.
- The University of Greenwich reserves the right to withdraw, amend or alter the amounts and dates of this award at its sole discretion.
