Inductions and Welcome Week

Induction marks the start of your university experience. It’s a time filled with events and activities designed to help you meet new people, get used to your new environment, and enjoy yourself.

Induction is an important time, as it gives you the platform to get a great start to life at university. It is often known by other names, such as 'Freshers' Week'.

What can you expect?

  • You'll meet other students and make friends.
  • Learn about the university and where to find everything you need.
  • Discover more about how you'll study.
  • Meet your teaching staff.
  • Explore what's on offer, from clubs and societies to fitness and wellbeing.

Many of your activities will be virtual this year, but we're looking forward to welcoming you to campus once it's safe to do so.

Where do I find everything?

Once you have completed registration, log in to the Portal to access the following:

  • Your academic/programme timetables
  • Your learning environment, Moodle
  • Your university email account.

  • Avery Hill Campus - Tues 15 Sept, 2pm
  • Greenwich Campus - Weds 16 Sept, 2pm
  • Medway Campus - Thurs 17 Sept, 2pm.
