Project updates

Curriculum Management Project. This project will deliver a new curriculum management system which will simplify curriculum management processes and support curriculum design and innovation.

Data and Reporting Transformation Project. This project introduces a university-wide strategy to modernise platforms, strengthen data governance, and build staff capability - ensuring data becomes a trusted, strategic asset.

ITSM Project. This project is to replace our IT Service Management (ITSM) platform, a system used by the IT Service Desk and other ILS Support Teams to manage request for support raised by our staff, affiliates, and students.

R&KE Digital Transformation Project. Our Research and Knowledge Exchange (R&KE) Digital Transformation will deliver an end-to-end research management platform to support the full research lifecycle.

Student Lifecycle Management Project (SLM) Our Digital Student Centre is our one-stop-shop for student enquiries and personalised support. SLM Phase 1 has delivered this platform and Phase 2 is adding more complex processes.

Windows 11 Rollout. Windows 10 will reach end of support in October 2025. We are preparing for this by identifying and replacing devices that cannot be upgraded to Windows 11.

Recently completed projects

Infrastructure Transformation Project. Moving the majority of our applications to the cloud will give us the flexibility and agility we need to deliver high performing, flexible and scalable digital technology solutions.

IT Asset Management Project. We have centralised our IT asset procurement with supporting budget provision. Standardising our IT assets and managing them centrally is delivering benefits including improved information security, cost savings, and greater support of mobile working.
