Windows 10 will reach end of support in October 2025
This means that Microsoft will stop providing security updates and technical assistance for the operating system after that date.

PC replacements and upgrades
ILS Teams are working with Faculties and Directorates to schedule upgrade work and install replacement hardware across our campuses over the summer. We will prioritise areas with machines that cannot be upgraded to Windows 11
Staff PCs
- We will continue to replace staff PCs with docks for InTune laptops. Our IT Asset Management Project site has information about IT assets that are available to staff.
Teaching spaces
- We are updating our teaching spaces to ensure compatibility with Windows 11 ahead of the new academic year.
Student PCs
- All student PCs will be reimaged to provide the new Windows 11 PC build. This will provide more up to date software and improve security and reliability.
