Notes (Research fees)

  • The tuition fee for international students who will be studying full-time outside of the UK will be half the corresponding fee for international students who study full-time at one of the main university campuses. This does not apply to international students who are based at a main university campus but who spend time overseas as part of their approved programme of research.
  • Students should contact the Research & Enterprise Training Institute for information on the length for these programmes. Bench fees will also be charged for some programmes. Contact the faculty in which you plan to study to discuss this.
  • The full-time fees for these programmes are paid at the beginning of year one and further fees may be required if you need to undertake certain parts of the programme again, or if you add additional credits to your programme of study.

Notes (MSc by Research)

  • Fees for the MSc by Research (Science / Psychology) are subject to an annual fee-setting exercise and will rise annually by no more than RPI-X (Retail Price Index excluding mortgage interest payments) plus 3%.
  • Full-time fees for these courses are paid at the beginning of year one.
  • Part-time students on these courses will need to pay the annual advertised fee in year one and a further fee in year two.
  • Further fees may be required if you need to repeat certain parts of the course or if you add additional credits.
