The university telephone system is managed by ILS which ensures that requests for new lines, conference calls and reported faults are dealt with swiftly.

To use the features please refer to the telephone instruction guides.

Always press the "OK" button after dialling the feature code.

If you use a feature code regularly then you may wish to configure a key on your telephone to save remembering the codes.

Forwarding your number

In the event of having to work remotely, you can forward your phone number to another phone number before you leave the office. You will not be able to turn off this forwarding until you are back in the office.

Use the telephone feature codes:

Call Forwarding Unconditional (Activate) *72
Call Forwarding Unconditional (Deactivate) *73

To activate call forwarding from your office phone:

Press *72 followed by the number you wish to forward your calls to, then press OK. You will hear a message telling you that the service has been activated.

To deactivate call forwarding from your office phone: Press *73 followed by OK. You will hear a message telling you that the service has been deactivated. 

Please note that you can only turn off call forwarding from your office phone.

The OpenStage 15

The OpenStage 15 Telephone is easily identified by the small rectangular display fixed along the top edge of the telephone. It also has a column of eight buttons along the right hand side.

The OpenStage 40

The OpenStage 40 Telephone and the OpenStage 60 Telephone are similar in appearance. Both have large adjustable screens at the top of the Telephone, and with a roll of buttons vertically placed on the right hand side of the display. The OpenStage 40 has six buttons on the display and the OpenStage 60 has eight.
